After his graduation from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Tom Riddle disappears. He comes back ten years later, with new powers and a new name. His journey in search of the secrets of dark magic has deeply changed him, and it's up to two old acquaintances to stop him before he reaches his goal: immortality.

"Voldemort – Origins of the Heir" is a non-profit fan film, inspired by the Harry Potter universe. The idea was born while re-reading the sixth book of the saga, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. We wondered: what made Tom Riddle become Voldemort? What happened in those years, and what really went down at Hogwarts when he came back? There are some clues in the books which have not been transposed at all in the movies, but a lot goes unspoken. This is the story we want to tell: the rise of the Dark Lord before Harry Potter and his first demise. Freshscream Production is a small production house created by four young men. Gianmaria Pezzato, Stefano Prestia, Davide Panizza, Simone Panza are the people behind it, and so far have produced some short-films and videos (visible on Youtube).

Voldemort – Davide Ellena

The Dark Lord during his rise to power, seeking immortality.

Tom Riddle – Stefano Rossi

When he was a student, although he was different from anyone, no one could have imagined what he would have become.

Grisha McLaggen – Maddalena Orcali

A witch with a gentle heart and a keen mind. She is the only one who can still see Tom Riddle under the mask of the Dark Lord.

Wiglaf Sigurdsson – Andrea Deanesi

A wizard with nordic blood and unpredictable attitude. You better not get in his way.

Why does Voldemort have a nose? Well, fans often think that Voldemort always had his snake aspect. In the period of time we are considering, he has not yet completely mutated in the final form we see in the movies. He lost his nose when he magically resurrected, like seen in "The Goblet of Fire", after trying to kill Harry.
Will you make a film or a series? The idea is to realize a short-movie of about 50m - 1h.
Will the film be faithfull to the books storyline? Yes, it will mainly refer to Voldemort's memories seen by Harry inside the pensieve, during “The Half Blood Prince” book.
So...who are Grisha and Wiglaf? The story will be developed according to what J.K.Rowling wrote, sure, but since the information we have about Voldemort’s life is not much, we obviously need to stage some other unseen characters of the Harry Potter world, with a deep and interesting background, which we're absolutely sure, will satisfy even the biggest fans.
What about the release of the film? Hypothetically speaking, considering the quantity of shooting and post-production, we would say by the end of 2017.
